Advertising and Media Economy Research Center was established on July 3, 2013, with Professor Cheng Xiaoping from the Faculty of Culture and Law serving as the director of center and Lin Xiang serving as the managing deputy director.

This center is committed to the following three aspects of research:

1. The research on development logic presented in the media economy in the Internet ear, which analyzes and establishes the development logic of media economy from three aspects of basic theory, historical development and industrial practice;

2. How will the traditional media respond as one of the main subjects of market under the development trend of new media economy;

3. How will the network media develop as another main subject of market under the development trend of new media economy.

This center will reveal the intrinsic characteristics and regularities of media economy in Internet ear through the research on various profit model of network new media. The center relies on the “Hubei Business Service Development Research Center” of our university, a key research base of humanities and social sciences in Hubei Province, which not only realizes resource integration, but also provides a good development platform for the newly-established center.
